Any legal entity or private individual, irrespective of their location, that has a relationship with the handicrafts industry and wishes to make a contribution to the growth of this industry, can become an associate of the World Handicrafts Organization to make a joined contribution.To do this, it is necessary to pay send an application to the Organization (see below), having paid the registration fee in advance as follows:

If an applicant is refused registration, the Organization reserves the right not to comment on the decision taken. In this case, the registration fee will be refunded.
The Organization’s associates do not pay any fees to the Organisation, other than the registration fee.
Associates have the right:
a) upon invitation by the Organisation, to take part in the projects carried out by the Organisation, including the educational, research, scientific, information and other projects aimed at developing the global handicraft industry;
b) upon invitation by the Organisation, to take part in the Organisation’s activities (fora, congresses, exhibitions, etc.) in return for the fees set for these activities;
c) to receive information concerning the Organisation’s activities from the Organisation, upon request;
d) to address to the Organisation proposals and comments in connection with the Organisation’s activities, and also in support of its activities;
e) to put their information on the Organisation’s website;
f) to use other services of the Organisation which the Organisation will offer to associates in the course of their collaboration;
g) at any time, without explaining the reasons and without informing the Organisation, to end its collaborative relationship with the Organisation;
The Associate is obliged:
a) to take part in the Organisation’s activities as far as it is able;
b) to comply with the Organisation’s regulations;
c) to carry out the decisions of the Organisation’s International Council in good faith;
d) to promote the activities of the Organisation within its country;
e) to inform the Organisation promptly of any change in its contact information;
f) to answer the Organisation’s requests for information within 30 days of receiving them.
The Organisation’s associates:
a) have the right to hold any office in the Organisation’s executive bodies, and in the organisations which it sets up or in which it takes part;
b) do not have the right to speak on behalf of the organisation or represent it officially.
The Organisation’s associates may be excluded from the associates’ membership of the Organisation according to a decision by the Organisation’s International Council, under the following conditions:
a) failure by the associate to comply with the Organisation’s regulations, and/or the decisions of the Organisation’s International Council, and/or the obligations it has undertaken with regard to the Organisation;
b) an action by the associate is not in the Organisation’s interest or compromises it;
c) information concerning the associate submitted to the organisation by it is false;
d) the associate does not give a prompt answer to two or more requests for information from the Organisation;
The Organisation’s International Council is obliged to inform the associate concerning its exclusion from the associates’ membership of the Organisation, and concerning the reasons for this decision, within a period of 30 days from the day the aforementioned decision was taken.
The Organisation’s founders and its associates are not responsible for the Organisation’s liabilities, just as the Organisation is not answerable for the commitments of its founders and associates.
